Clarifications

Peter Campbell Updated by Peter Campbell

At any point during an opportunity being live, suppliers can request clarifications from the Sourcing Activity Owner, via the Opportunities Hub Portal. When this happens, the Sourcing Activity Owner is notified via email:

Any supplier who requests a clarification is kept anonymous.

Selecting the link in the email, or navigating the the Clarifications tab of the Sourcing Activity record, users will be able to view the clarifications that have been submitted. Selecting a specific clarifying question will dropdown some more details and allow users to respond:

This will showcase another wizard, enabling users to respond to the query.

In this wizard, the question field is editable to the system user. This allows the question to be altered and potentially posed in a different way (e.g. to remove supplier specific information or to make the answer clearer in the context) to aid in making the response clearer and ideally prevent the need for further clarifications.

If the supplier has selected that this question is Commercial in confidence, users will only be allowed to answer back to that supplier specifically. If they have not selected Commercial in confidence, users are able to select if their response is Commercial in confidence or not.

If this checkbox is left unticked, the answer will show in all suppliers' Clarifications tab in the Opportunities Hub - no details about who asked the question will be provided.

The wizard also allows the response to be saved as a draft and revisited later, or for the question to be rejected.

Following this, the supplier who requested the clarification will be notified via email that to say their clarification has been answered:

And the Clarification tab of the activity in the Opportunities Hub is updated too.
