Process Templates can also affect the Variation process.

The out-of-the-box Process Template requires variations to be approved by designated users with approval permissions before they can be applied to a contract:

With our standard Process Template, variations can be created for contracts by standard users, but only once approval has been granted can the variation actually be applied to the contract and the values updated.

After approval is granted and the variation is applied, the updated contract values will appear in the Details tab under the Current Values & Times section. This section highlights any value increases the contract has undergone and also includes a tab displaying the Original Values & Times for reference.
