Creating Supplier Milestones

When inside the Supplier record you want to add a milestone to, navigate to the Milestones tab. From there you can select the + Milestone button in the top right corner to open the Milestone creation wizard.

Within the wizard, you can create a Milestone from scratch or 'Copy from template' which utilises the shipped milestones included in the standard configuration. These templates are: Action Plan Review, Onboarding, Supplier Meeting and Supplier Revalidation.

The templated Milestones will automatically populate the Milestone name and Artefact group which will allow you to create the Milestone and attribute it to the record. You can add further information to a templated Milestone as required.

If you are not using a template, you will have to add all the information manually. Upon creation, the only information that is mandatory to allow you to create a Milestone is the name.

It is best practice to populate as much information as possible when creating a Milestone as well as assigning an owner. The information you can add to a Milestone includes a description, Milestone type, value and an indicator as to whether the Milestone relates to a contract.

When a Milestone is created, the due date of the Milestone will automatically populate to align with the default due date you have configuration in Site Settings. This can be edited if required by selecting the pencil icon on the right hand side of a Milestone entry.
