Issuing a Risk Assessment

Within our standard system, we offer a number of preconfigured risk assessments. These are different from the Information Request assessments you have seen before as they specifically focus on risks, and the responses to these assessments can trigger you to take follow up actions in the system in order to mitigate these risks.

To aid in this process, the risk templates shipped with the system all link back to the sections in the shipped risk assessments (e.g. If a supplier did not provide information regarding their DPO, there is a corresponding risk template in the system for you to log a "GDPR: Data Protection Officer Risk " risk against the supplier).

The risk assessments we offer focus on General Supplier Risks & Assurances, MDS, GDPR and Sustainability & ESG, with the aim of gathering information about the processes your supplier has in place for each of these areas, and what risks you may be exposed to as a result of the gaps in these processes.

Being aware of these shortcomings will allow you to manage this supplier more effectively and implement additional support to the supplier around their weak spots so that you can mitigate the risk and potential impact on your business.

How to issue a Risk Assessment

To issue a risk assessment, navigate to the Risk Assessment tab of the supplier record.

Select the arrow which is situated next to + Quick create new item and select Assessment.

Select whether you are issuing an internal or external assessment, and select the assessment template from the resulting dropdown list (Our pre-shipped risk assessments are all external assessments).

Specify the supplier contact whom this assessment should be sent to and completed by.

From here you can set the dates for access expiry and the assessment being due.

It is optional to add an assessment owner here too. If one is not selected, the supplier owner will receive the notifications relating to this assessment.

Select Create and the assessment selected will be sent to the supplier for completion.
